Rockingham Fender Seats are an established British company with a long history of hand crafting quality fender seats and fender guards. We offer a fully bespoke service, making individual fenders to your exact requirements. We have sent many Fender Seats to the USA & Canada and we would like to assure you that we can make one for you without any complications. The procedure is simple and totally personal; you will be looked after by Tom (sales), Martin (construction) and Anne (office).

Ask for our color brochure, which includes prices in US dollars and which includes leather samples (or we can use your own fabric or leather if you prefer).
On the reverse of the price list is a sketch of a fireplace showing the measurements that we need to ensure a perfect fit. We are on hand to offer advice on measurement and fitting.
Once we have the measurement and indication of style and materials, we can then email, post or fax a ground plan and front elevation which confirms the dimensions.
We normally need up to six weeks to hand build your fender seat. Allowing for freight etc. it will take approximately seven to eight weeks from order to delivery.
The fender seat can be packed in two different ways:
- In a wooden crate ready to go around your fireplace 'out of the box';
- Made, then dis-assembled and put into a flat pack - with full instructions on how to assemble (a very simply process)
We offer various shipping options including:
- Delivery to your nearest airport for collection;
- Delivery direct to your home.
Orders are usually sent by air freight, but can be sent by sea.
It is difficult to give specific shipping costs, but as a rough approximation shipping for a crated fully assembled fender seat would be $600 and for a flat packed one $300. This includes insurance. An additional charge is required for crating, approximately $200, or flat packing, approximately $50. The only extra cost is local taxes which, varying from state to state, are usually 2-3%.
We ask for a deposit of 50% on confirmation of your order. We accept payment by all major credit/debit cards (except American Express), check or bank transfer. Final payment is only due when your fender seat arrives with you.
